Tottenham Hotspur v Fulham
Premier League | Tottenham Hotspur Stadium
Monday, 23 October 2023 @ 8.00pm
Tottenham Hotspur are heavy favourites to keep all three points at home in Monday's late kick-off against Fulham.
Spurs, who sit second in the Premier League with eight games played, are priced at 1.5 to seal victory at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
Sitting 10 places and nine points behind them in the table, Fulham are 5.5 to win with *Betting Company*, while the draw is at 4.5.
With 18 goals in eight games so far this season, Spurs are scoring more than average in the league with 2.2 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in eight goals at a rate of 1.0 per game.
Fulham, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.0 goal per game, compared to a league average of 1.5. They have conceded 1.6 goals per game.
In Heung-Min Son, Tottenham have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched six goals in eight appearances, to sit second in the scoring charts.
His goal rate of one every 105 minutes is much quicker than that of Bobby Decordova-Reid, the Cottagers' top scorer with a goal every 220 minutes, and a total of two goals in seven games.
The home team are in fantastic form in the Premier League, with five wins and a draw from their last six games.
With two wins and two draws over that period, the visitors' form is much less good – they have taken eight points from 18, compared to Spurs' 16.
In the last 10 years, Spurs and Fulham have played each other on 10 occasions. Spurs won eight of them and they drew twice.
On average, Spurs scored 1.9 goals and the Cottagers 0.7 in those matches.
Their last meeting was on August 29, when they played out a 1-1 draw.
Spurs' last match was on October 7, a 1-0 win against Luton Town, with Mickey van de Ven getting the goal for Spurs.
Fulham beat Sheffield United 3-1 last time out, also on October 7, with Decordova-Reid, Wes Foderingham (own goal) and Willian on the scoresheet.
Monday's match will be refereed by Anthony Taylor, who has taken charge of seven Premier League games so far this season, issuing one red card and booking 36 players. He has awarded two penalties.
He is yet to oversee a match featuring either Spurs or Fulham this season.
