Reading Women v Watford Women
FA Women's Championship | Select Car Leasing Stadium
Sunday, 12 November 2023 @ 12.00pm
Sunday lunchtime's match at the Select Car Leasing Stadium sees two relegation candidates play each other, as 10th-ranked Reading Women host bottom of the table Watford Women.
Reading have picked up nine points from their first nine FA Women's Championship games, with two wins and three draws.
That is five points more than Watford have collected, having won one and drawn one.
Reading are in disappointing form in the FA Women's Championship, with two wins and four losses from their last six games.
With no wins and six losses over that period, Watford's form is much worse – they have taken no points from 18, compared to the Royals' six.
With Emily Orman between the sticks, the home side can rely on one of the league's safest pair of hands. She has kept three clean sheets in her nine appearances this season, and only one other 'keeper – Sunderland Women's Claudia Moan – has been able to prevent the opposition scoring on more occasions in the FA Women's Championship.
The visitors, meanwhile, are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.
With nine goals in nine games so far this season, Reading are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.0 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 14 goals at a rate of 1.6 per game.
Watford are also below average scorers, with 1.1 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.3. They have conceded 2.3 goals per game.
Reading's last match was on Sunday, a 2-1 loss against Birmingham City Women, with Deanna Cooper getting the goal for the Royals.
Watford lost 3-0 against Crystal Palace Ladies last time out, also on Sunday.
