Championship | Home Park
Saturday, 4 November 2023 @ 3.00pm

Middlesbrough are strong favourites to take all three points despite Plymouth Argyle's home advantage in Saturday's match at Home Park.

Betting companies are offering odds of 1.87 on Middlesbrough sealing the win, with the visitors sitting 10th in the Championship table.

Plymouth, who are 19th in the league and five points behind the Boro, are priced at 3.75 to win. A draw is set at 3.75.

With 23 goals in 14 games so far this season, Plymouth are scoring more than average in the league with 1.6 goals per game. But they are conceding more than average too, letting in 22 goals at a rate of 1.6 per game.

Middlesbrough, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game. They have also conceded 1.4 goals per game.

Argyle are in disappointing form in the Championship, with one win and two draws from their last six games.

With five wins and one loss over that period, the Boro's form is much better – they have taken 15 points from 18, compared to the Pilgrims' five.

In Ryan Hardie and Morgan Whittaker, the home side have two of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. They have notched six goals each, to sit fifth in the scoring charts.

The visitors' top scorer, with three goals in 10 games, is Riley McGree.

Plymouth's last match was on October 28, a 3-2 loss against Ipswich Town, with Joe Edwards and Whittaker getting the goals for the Pilgrims.

Middlesbrough lost 2-0 against Stoke City last time out, also on October 28.
