Championship | Carrow Road
Saturday, 25 November 2023 @ 3.00pm
Norwich City are heavy favourites to keep all three points at home in Saturday's kick-off against Queens Park Rangers.
The Canaries, who sit 16th in the Championship with 16 games played, are priced at 1.6 to seal victory at Carrow Road.
Sitting seven places and 10 points behind them in the table, QPR are 5.3 to win with betting companies, while the draw is at 3.9.
With 11 goals in 16 games so far this season, QPR are the league's second-lowest scorers with 0.7 goals per game. And they are conceding more than average, letting in 27 goals at a rate of 1.7 per game.
Norwich, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.8 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.4. They have conceded 2.0 goals per game.
City are in bad form in the Championship, with one win and a draw from their last six games.
But with no wins and two draws over that period, Rangers' form is even worse – they have taken two points from 18, compared to the Canaries' four.
In the last 10 years, Norwich and QPR have played each other on 11 occasions. Norwich won six of them, QPR two, and they drew three times.
On average, the Canaries scored 1.7 goals and QPR 0.8 in those matches.
Their last meeting was on August 16, when Norwich won 1-0 away.
In Jon Rowe, the home side have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched seven goals in 16 appearances, to sit fourth in the scoring charts.
His goal rate of one every 170 minutes is much quicker than that of Kenneth Paal, the visitors' top scorer with a goal every 468 minutes, and a total of three goals in 16 games.
Norwich's last match was on November 11, a 3-2 win against Cardiff City, with Adam Uche Idah and Christian Fassnacht getting the goals for the Canaries.
QPR drew 0-0 with Bristol City last time out, also on November 11.
