Middlesbrough visit Norwich City at Carrow Road on late Tuesday on the back of five consecutive wins in the Championship.

Middlesbrough have picked up 16 points from their last six games, and they face a Canaries side who lost their last, and have collected four points from the last possible 18.

With 23 goals in 12 games so far this season, Norwich are the league's third-highest scorers with 1.9 goals per game. But they are conceding more than average too, letting in 22 goals at a rate of 1.8 per game.

Middlesbrough, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game. They have also conceded 1.4 goals per game.

In the last 10 years, Norwich and Middlesbrough have played each other on 11 occasions. Norwich won six of them, Middlesbrough four, and they drew once.

On average, the Canaries scored 0.8 goals and the Boro 1.1 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on April 14, when Middlesbrough won 5-1 at home.

In Jon Rowe, City have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched six goals in 12 appearances, to sit fourth in the scoring charts.

His goal rate of one every 144 minutes is quicker than that of Riley McGree, the Boro's top scorer with a goal every 186 minutes, and a total of three goals in 10 games.

The Canaries are 12th in the table after 12 games, of which they have won five and drawn two, earning 17 points.

The away side are one place behind the hosts in 13th, with five wins and two draws putting them on the same number of points.

Norwich's last match was on Saturday, a 3-2 loss against Leeds United, with Gabriel Sara and Shane Duffy getting the goals for the Canaries.

Middlesbrough beat Birmingham City 1-0 last time out, also on Saturday, with Morgan Rogers on the scoresheet.

Tuesday's match will be refereed by Simon Hooper, who has taken charge of one Championship game so far this season, issuing no red cards and booking four players. He has not awarded any penalties.

He is yet to oversee a match featuring either Norwich or Middlesbrough this season.
