Levante UD v Mirandés

Segunda División | Estadio Ciudad de Valencia
Saturday, 4 November 2023 @ 5.30pm

Mirandés face a challenge to maintain their high-scoring form away against a tight Levante UD defence on Saturday.

With 20 goals in 13 games, Mirandés are the joint-third-highest scorers in the Segunda División ahead of the 5.30pm kick-off at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia.

They face a Levante UD side who have scored 15 in 13 matches, but conceded only 11 goals, putting them fourth among the league's tightest defences – only Leganés, CD Tenerife and Real Oviedo have conceded fewer goals.

In Carlos Martín, Mirandés have one of the league's most on-form strikers so far this season. He has notched six goals in 12 appearances, to sit second in the scoring charts.

His goal rate of one every 152 minutes is quicker than that of Mohamed Bouldini, Levante's top scorer with a goal every 210 minutes, and a total of five goals in 13 games.

Levante UD are sixth in the table after 13 games, of which they have won six and drawn five, earning 23 points.

The visitors are seven places behind the home side in 13th, with five wins and two draws putting them on 17 points.

Over the last two years, Levante and Mirandés have played each other twice. They won one each.

Their last meeting was on April 17, when Mirandés won 2-1 away.

Levante are in mixed form in the Segunda División, with two wins and three draws from their last six games.

With three wins and a draw over that period, Mirandés' form is slightly better – they have taken 10 points from 18, compared to Levante's nine.

Levante's last match was on October 28, a 2-0 loss against FC Andorra.

Mirandés beat FC Cartagena 2-1 last time out, on Sunday, with Martín Domínguez and Sergio Barcia on the scoresheet.
