Leicester City v Watford
Championship | King Power Stadium
Saturday, 25 November 2023 @ 3.00pm
Leicester City host Watford in Saturday's match at the King Power Stadium looking to bounce back from defeat last time out in the Championship.
The Foxes, who sit top of the league after 16 games, fell to a 1-0 away defeat to Middlesbrough on November 11.
They face a Watford side who picked up a win in their last match, a 5-0 victory against Rotherham United, and who sit 13th in the table.
With 29 goals in 16 games so far this season, Leicester are the league's joint-second-highest scorers with 1.8 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 10 goals at a rate of 0.6 per game.
Watford, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game. They have conceded 1.1 goals per game.
In Daniel Bachmann, the Hornets can rely on one of the league's safest pair of hands. He has kept six clean sheets in his 15 appearances this season, and only one other 'keeper – West Bromwich Albion's Alex Palmer – has been able to prevent the opposition scoring on more occasions in the Championship.
In City's net, Mads Hermansen has five clean sheets in 15 games.
In the last 10 years, Leicester and Watford have played each other on 14 occasions. Leicester won nine of them, Watford three, and they drew twice.
On average, the Foxes scored 2.2 goals and the Hornets 1.0 in those matches.
Their last meeting was on May 15 2022, when Leicester won 5-1 away.
The Foxes are in reasonable form in the Championship, with four wins and two losses from their last six games.
With three wins and three draws over that period, the away side's form is similar – they have both taken 12 points from 18.
