Leeds United v Swansea City

Championship | Elland Road
Wednesday, 29 November 2023 @ 7.45pm

Leeds United are heavy favourites to keep all three points at home in Wednesday's late kick-off against Swansea City.

Leeds, who sit third in the Championship with 17 games played, are priced at 1.5 to seal victory at Elland Road.

Sitting 14 places and 12 points behind them in the table, Swansea are 6.7 to win with *Betting Company*, while the draw is at 4.6.

With 28 goals in 17 games so far this season, Leeds are scoring more than average in the league with 1.6 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 17 goals at a rate of 1.0 per game.

Swansea, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game. They have also conceded 1.4 goals per game.

With Illan Meslier between the sticks, United can rely on one of the league's safest pair of hands. He has kept six clean sheets in his 17 appearances this season, and only one other 'keeper – West Bromwich Albion's Alex Palmer – has been able to prevent the opposition scoring on more occasions in the Championship.

In City's net, Carl Rushworth has four clean sheets in 17 games. He has conceded a goal every 70 minutes, 50% more often than the 102 minutes between goals for Meslier.

The hosts are in good form in the Championship, with four wins and a draw from their last six games.

With a win and two draws over that period, the Swans' form is much worse – they have taken five points from 18, compared to Leeds' 13.

Leeds' last match was on Friday, a 1-1 draw against Rotherham United, with Crysencio Summerville getting the goal for Leeds.

Swansea drew 2-2 with Hull City last time out, on Saturday, with Jamie Paterson and Jerry Yates on the scoresheet.

Wednesday's match will be refereed by Samuel Allison, who has taken charge of four Championship games so far this season, issuing one red card and booking 22 players. He has awarded one penalty.

He is yet to oversee a match featuring either Leeds or Swansea this season.
