Preston North End travel to the MKM Stadium looking to secure a first win in seven Championship games against Hull City on Saturday.

The Lilywhites have lost three and drawn three matches since they last earned three points – against Birmingham City on September 19.

They face a Hull side who have won two and drawn two over that time.

In the last 10 years, Hull and Preston have played each other on 13 occasions. Hull won four of them, Preston five, and they drew four times.

On average, the Tigers scored 1.4 goals and the Lilywhites 1.0 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on February 18, when they played out a 0-0 draw.

Preston are fourth in the table after 13 games, of which they have won six and drawn four, earning 22 points.

Hull are four places behind North End in eighth, with five wins and five draws putting them on 20 points.

With 19 goals in 13 games so far this season, City are scoring more than average in the league with 1.5 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in 16 goals at a rate of 1.2 per game.

The Lilywhites, meanwhile, are average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game. They have conceded 1.5 goals per game.

In Aaron Anthony Connolly, the Tigers have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched five goals in 12 appearances, to sit eighth in the scoring charts.

His goal rate of one every 121 minutes is quicker than that of Will Keane, the visitors' top scorer with a goal every 184 minutes, and a total of four goals in 10 games.

Hull's last match was on Wednesday, a 2-0 win against Birmingham City, with Jaden Philogene-Bidace and Liam Delap getting the goals for the Tigers.
