Championship | The Coventry Building Society Arena
Tuesday, 28 November 2023 @ 7.45pm

Coventry City are heavy favourites to keep all three points at home in Tuesday's late kick-off against Plymouth Argyle.

The Sky Blues, who sit 20th in the Championship with 17 games played, are priced at 1.6 to seal victory at the Coventry Building Society Arena.

Despite sitting one place ahead of them in the table, Plymouth are 5.2 to win with *Betting Company*, while the draw is at 4.0.

With 29 goals in 17 games so far this season, Plymouth are scoring more than average in the league with 1.7 goals per game. But they are conceding more than average too, letting in 27 goals at a rate of 1.6 per game.

Coventry, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.3 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.4. They have conceded 1.2 goals per game.

City are in bad form in the Championship, with one win and a draw from their last six games.

With two wins and two draws over that period, Argyle's form is better – they have taken eight points from 18, compared to the Sky Blues' four.

In Morgan Whittaker, the Pilgrims have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched eight goals in 17 appearances, to sit fourth in the scoring charts.

His goal rate of one every 182 minutes is quicker than that of Matt Godden, the home side's top scorer with a goal every 224 minutes, and a total of six goals in 17 games.

Coventry's last match was on Saturday, a 3-0 win against Millwall, with Ben Sheaf, Godden and Tatsuhiro Sakamoto getting the goals for the Sky Blues.

Plymouth beat Sunderland 2-0 last time out, also on Saturday, with Finn Azaz and Whittaker on the scoresheet.

Tuesday's match will be refereed by Andy Davies, who has taken charge of three Championship games so far this season, issuing one red card and booking 12 players. He has not awarded any penalties.
