Segunda División | Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez Lopéz
Sunday, 12 November 2023 @ 5.30pm

CD Tenerife are heavy favourites to keep all three points at home in Sunday's late kick-off against Villarreal B.

CD Tenerife, who sit seventh in the Segunda División with 14 games played, are priced at 1.5 to seal victory at the Estadio Heliodoro Rodríguez Lopéz.

Sitting 11 places and 10 points behind them in the table, Villarreal are 6.2 to win with betting companies, while the draw is at 3.8.

In Juan Soriano Oropesa, Tenerife can rely on one of the league's safest pair of hands. He has kept seven clean sheets in his 14 appearances this season, and only one other 'keeper – Leganés' Diego Conde – has been able to prevent the opposition scoring on more occasions in the Segunda División.

Villarreal, meanwhile, are yet to keep a clean sheet this season.

With 14 goals in 14 games so far this season, CD Tenerife are scoring at below the league average rate with 1.0 goals per game. But they are conceding fewer than average too, letting in 12 goals at a rate of 0.9 per game.

Villarreal B, meanwhile, are above average scorers, with 1.4 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.2. They have conceded 1.8 goals per game.

The hosts are in mixed form in the Segunda División, with two wins and two draws from their last six games.

With a win and a draw over that period, the away team's form is worse – they have taken four points from 18, compared to Tenerife's eight.

Over the last two years, Tenerife and Villarreal have played each other twice. they drew both of them.

Their last meeting was on April 1, when they played out a 1-1 draw.

Tenerife's last match was on November 4, a 2-0 loss against Real Valladolid.

Villarreal lost 3-0 against Sporting Gijón last time out, also on November 4.
