Bayer Leverkusen are heavy favourites to keep all three points at home in Sunday's kick-off against Freiburg.

Bayer, who sit top of the Bundesliga with eight games played, are priced at 1.5 to seal victory at BayArena.

Sitting seven places and nine points behind them in the table, Freiburg are 6.2 to win with *Betting Company*, while the draw is at 4.4.

With 25 goals in eight games so far this season, Bayer are the league's joint-second-highest scorers with 3.1 goals per game. And they are conceding fewer than average, letting in seven goals at a rate of 0.9 per game.

Freiburg, meanwhile, are below average scorers, with 1.1 goals per game, compared to a league average of 1.8. They have conceded 1.8 goals per game.

The hosts are in fantastic form in the Bundesliga, with five wins and a draw from their last six games.

With two wins and a draw over that period, the away side's form is much worse – they have taken seven points from 18, compared to Bayer's 16.

In the last 10 years, Bayer and Freiburg have played each other on 18 occasions. Bayer won seven of them, Freiburg five, and they drew six times.

On average, Bayer scored 1.4 goals and Freiburg 1.1 in those matches.

Their last meeting was on February 26, when they played out a 1-1 draw.

In Victor Boniface, Bayer have one of the league's sharpest shooters so far this season. He has notched seven goals in eight appearances, to sit third in the scoring charts.

His goal rate of one every 99 minutes is much quicker than that of Vincenzo Grifo, Freiburg's top scorer with a goal every 320 minutes, and a total of two goals in eight games.

Bayer's last match was on October 21, a 2-1 win against Wolfsburg, with Frimpong and Grimaldo García getting the goals for Bayer.

Freiburg beat Bochum 2-1 last time out, also on October 21, with Dōan and Grifo on the scoresheet.
